67 MINUTES FOR MANDELA DAY “We CAN do this - Christmas in July” project

Please support our 67 MINUTES FOR MANDELA DAY “We CAN do this - Christmas in July” project. We encourage all Brescia House School pupils/families to donate items of canned food (beans, pilchards, chickpeas, lentils, etc.) and/or a nicely wrapped NEW BLANKET (your decision as to size or fabric) for a child (3 to 18 years) or elderly person who is either in a hospital, children’s or old aged home right now. Please clearly label your gift indicating what age category it is intended to reach e.g. child; teen or elderly person to assist us in allocating where it should go. All gifts will be sanitised and delivered to the recipients after the week of 28 July. The “Mandela day Christmas in July” “Drive in, drop off” collection tables will be in the main PYTCHLEY street parking lot (NOT Grade R or Sloane street parking) from Monday, 12 July until Wednesday, 28th July from 07h30 until 14h00 each day.

There will be a small Christmas tree on display on the tables near Security. Parents will be able to drive into the parking lot right up to the tables. Please just place your donations there and then get back into your car and drive out once again. Please do not interact with anyone else in the car park and do not request our security personnel to take these products out of your car. Your support and assistance is greatly appreciated.

For parents who are avoiding the shops right now, we will also send out a link on the KARRI app for donations towards the “Christmas in July” campaign. We will use funds raised to purchase bulk items of long-life food to be delivered to the various NPO’s our school supports and that are running feeding schemes for desperate communities.
