Brescia House School and KES collaborate in community drive

Brescia House School and King Edward VII pupils recently combined efforts to raise funds towards purchasing sanitary towels to be donated to 5 well regarded NPO’s offering services to vulnerable young girls. The project was incredibly successful with 96 THOUSAND sanitary towels being donated. Recipients of these donations are: POWA (Berea); Polokong Children’s Home (Evaton); Kidshaven Village (Benoni); JHB Children’s Home (Observatory) and the Teddy Bear Clinic (Braamfontein). Both schools are incredibly proud of this pupil driven initiative.

This morning, Brescia House School Head Girl, Kirsten Veitch, and King Edwards School Head Boy, Glen McKenzie, handed over some of the boxes of female hygiene products to the Johannesburg Children’s Home. Thank you to all who contributed to this worthy initiative.
