Cupcakes for Carers
As we approached Valentine’s weekend, staff and pupils at Brescia House School were encouraged to bake or donate cupcakes and muffins as gestures of love and appreciation for frontline medical staff. The way the staff and pupils responded to this request was truly overwhelming with over 1100 predominantly home-made cupcakes being donated. The bulk were delivered to the frontline workers at Witkoppen Clinic. One of the medic-interns had tears streaming down his face as they helped unload the car. A smaller delivery was made to one of the Covid testing stations to staff who simply could not believe anyone remembered that they too are front-line workers. The school is very thankful to all who contributed towards the project and helped bring a smile to a great many people with this simple gesture.
