Easter Fun
The Grade R girls have had lots of fun celebrating Easter this week.
• We made ‘egg-cellent’ Easter egg patterns on a giant Easter egg. We used our listening skills, working from left to right, from the top to the bottom of a line as we formed the different writing patterns. The girls then carefully cut out their Easter egg and pasted it onto a colourful piece of paper.
• We manipulated tangram pieces to make an Easter bunny. We worked with giant pieces on the interactive whiteboard, then made a bunny out of concrete tangram pieces. Once we had managed to create our bunny, we were given the tangram pieces on a pink piece of paper which we had to carefully cut out. The girls had such fun creating their tangram bunny on a white piece of paper and then decorating it accordingly.
• Easter bunny – we listened carefully to step-by-step instructions by our teacher to create our very own Easter bunny. We had such fun painting our special Easter bunnies in water colours!
