Grade R Sensory Play

There is no easier way to get the attention of a Grade R child than with awesome sensory play activities. Grade R children love to explore using their senses and by this age, they have the vocabulary and cognitive skills to make some real connections about the world around them as they engage in sensory play. The Grade R girls came to school dressed in their civvies and have had the best fun exploring their different senses using shaving cream, squishy coloured spaghetti, rice, aqueous cream and powder. Making mud houses in the sandpit using buckets of water was a real hit too. Our budding artists collaborated together in drawing their favourite wild animals on safari. School is such fun!!
