Mad Hatter's Tea Party
Today our Brescia House School staff once again supported CANSA by hosting a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. In October 2014, our school started supporting the “Cuppa for CANSA day” with staff across the school wearing Mad Hats for the day. We then have a special “Mad Hatter Staff Tea”, and staff donate money towards CANSA to assist them in the amazing work they do. The reason we do this is to show our support for those we know who are affected by cancer – either directly themselves or because someone close to them has it (or had it). We encourage our teachers to chat to their pupils about why they are wearing hats. Many teachers also ask that you all take a minute and send up a prayer for all our loved ones who are battling with this illness, and for the family members and friends who care for them. We also ask you to keep in mind those who have lost someone as a result of cancer.
