Pi Day
Each year Pi Day is celebrated on the 14th of March, in honour of its number, 3.14, which is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. Seeing as this year it falls on a Sunday, the Intermediate Phase decided to celebrate Pi Day today instead. The girls made posters, completed circle activities, held Rubik Cube challenges and practiced coding using Spheros. In English, the Grade 6s completed a listening comprehension on “Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi” for Pi Day! Of course, the day would not be complete without some real pie – or in this case – ‘Pi Cookies’. What an awesome day of fun learning!
