Spring has sprung in Grade R

Spring has sprung in Grade R. The girls have loved learning all about what happens during the Spring season, including weather changes, plant growth, the lifecycles of frogs and animal births.

Beautiful blossom trees were created by painting the trunk of the tree and then using straws and paint to blow the branches of the tree. The girls used the following skills when creating their very own cherry blossom tree.

- Planning when painting the trunk of the tree

- Visual-motor skills when blowing the branches using a straw

- Finger-motor skills when scrunching paper into little balls using fingers as well as finger painting the leaves on the different branches.

We really do learn through play…..Grade R is such fun!
