Billion Rising

This year, Brescia House School joins the world in the 9^th One Billion Rising event, to hope for a future where all women, children and the earth flourish in a joyful symbiosis. When women and girls feel safe in their bodies, they come into their power. Women’s bodies hold entire communities, nurturing and caring for them, and keeping them alive against all odds.

Pupils and staff from across the entire school gathered on the lawn to celebrate this event. This year, the symbol chosen was an emoji with a mask, an image that for years to come will remind us of our resilience and perseverance during the pandemic.

At the same time, the whole school sang and danced to Mango Groove’s Faces to the Sun. The song speaks of finding reasons for the things that matter most and living your best life.
