Grade 10 Geography

The grade 10 Geography girls were so excited last week to go on a geology tour to various places in northern Johannesburg. We started off our outing at the koppie in Lonehill where we learnt which rock type it was made from and about the process through which it had formed and eroded. Then we carried on our adventure to the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens where we spent two hours studying the different rocks in the Rock Garden and learning about the beautiful Witpoortjie waterfall. Once we had finished filling in our worksheets, we were feeling a bit hungry so we quickly made our way to the Home of the Chicken Pie restaurant where we all enjoyed the delicious food after a very busy day.
