Grade 3 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
The Grade 3’s have loved exploring the topic of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! (We all love chocolate, right?) The topic started with the Grade 3’s learning about the process involved in making chocolate from the harvesting of the cocoa bean to the delicious finally product. In class a “blind tasting” station was set up. The children had to take a piece of chocolate and explain the texture and of course the taste and then give a final verdict on which chocolate they were eating. They then designed their very own pictographs capturing the information from the blind tasting. They also had to write a character description about their favourite character from the book written by Roald Dahl, and finally the children got creative drawing a picture of Willy Wonka which they coloured in using pastel.
