Grade 10 Geography outing
On Wednesday 25th January, the Grade 10 Geography class had a fantastic time when they ventured out into the real world of geology and geomorphology, with the help of Robyn Simmonds (Matric 2012). The first stop was at the Lonehill koppie where they learnt about the joints in granite and practiced their artistic skills. Next, they stopped at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens. There they walked through the rock garden, learning about the oldest rocks, and studied the beautiful Witpoortjie Falls. After a lunch of spectacular chicken pies at Maggie’s Farm, they headed back to school. Thankful that we are able to explore such beautiful places almost on our doorstep.
