The Crowning of Mary
The Crowning of Mary is a ritual celebrated in the month of May where an image or statue of Mary is crowned with a wreath of flowers.
At Brescia House School we held the Crowning of Mary Service on Friday, 19 May, at the start of our school day. The service took place at the grotto with the statue of Mary. The Crowning of Mary is celebrated with special prayers and hymns, and a crown of flowers is placed on the head of the statue of Mary.
